The Friends of the Shelby Area District Library is a group of individuals who are passionate about their library and committed to supporting it. We are organized for the development of the library; to bring together people interested in books; to promote interest, usefulness, and resources of the library through programs, exhibits, and other means; and to raise funds to provide for the purchase of materials for the library.
Sign up for library’s monthly newsletter to receive updates from the Friends.
You can become a Friend of the Shelby Area District Library by donating your time, talent, or resources to help improve the library in any way. We welcome volunteers to participate in our projects and fundraisers. No dues are collected but monetary donations are appreciated. Donations are used to support programs, purchase materials, and promote interest in reading and learning.
Join us for one of our quarterly meetings on a Thursday in the months of January, April, July, October at 5:00pm. Our meetings are typically in person at the Shelby Area District Library Board Room (189 N Maple Street) but we occasionally meet by Zoom.
