hoopla is a free digital streaming app that gives you instant access to audiobooks, ebooks, music, movies and TV shows, and more with your library card.
Each Shelby Area District Library cardholder has a set number of monthly credits to borrow content. Once that borrowing period is over, the content is automatically returned. Occasionally, hoopla offers themed BingePasses which are whole collections of titles that you can access with only one credit.
How to use hoopla:
- Download the hoopla app on your smartphone, tablet, smart TV or other device. For Apple devices visit the App Store. For Amazon devices visit the Amazon App Store. For Google devices visit the Google Play Store.
- Once the app is downloaded and installed on your device, you will need your library card number and pin (last 4 digits of the phone number associated with your library card) to create a new account.
- hoopla syncs across all your devices, so you can stream titles immediately or whenever you’re in the mood.
