hoopla is a free digital streaming app that provides instant access to audiobooks, ebooks, music, movies, TV shows, and more with your library card.
Each Shelby Area District Library cardholder has a set number of monthly credits to borrow content. When the borrowing period ends, the content is automatically returned. Occasionally, hoopla offers themed BingePasses, which provide access to a collection of titles using one credit.
How to use hoopla:
- Download the hoopla app on your smartphone, tablet, smart TV, or other device. For Apple devices, visit the Apple App Store. For Amazon devices, visit the Amazon Appstore. For Google devices, visit the Google Play Store.
- After installing the app, enter your library card number and PIN (the last four digits of the phone number associated with your library card) to create an account.
- hoopla syncs across devices, so you can stream titles immediately or later.
