There are many ways to support the Shelby Area District Library. The simplest is to get a library card and use it! Stop by and explore our materials, resources, and programs—and encourage your neighbors to do the same.



We also love our volunteers. The Friends of the Shelby Area District Library is always looking for people to donate their time, talents, or resources to help with fundraising and special events. Learn more about the Friends and how you can join.



Financial contributions are always greatly appreciated. The Shelby Area District Library has two endowment funds through the Community Foundation for Oceana County: the Paul and Katherine “Kate” Lound Fund and the Caroline “Kelly Hansen Morse Memorial Fund. Contributions to these funds are tax deductible and can be made by credit card online or by mailing a check.

To pay by credit card, complete the CFoOC Give Now form on their website. Be sure to select either the ‘Shelby Area District Library – Paul and Katherine “Kate” Lound Fund’ or the ‘Shelby Area District Library – Caroline “Kelly Hansen Morse Memorial Fund’ from the list.

Checks can be sent directly to the Community Foundation for Oceana County, 388 S Hancock Street, Pentwater, MI 49449. In the memo line, please include the name of the fund (SADL – Paul and Katherine “Kate” Lound Fund or SADL – Caroline “Kelly Hansen Morse Memorial Fund)
