Make new connections at the library!
At Shelby Area District Library, we provide a place for teens and adults to discover, learn, and connect with others. We offer a variety of programs and events for adults and teens.
Silent Book Club
Join fellow book lovers one Saturday afternoon each month during the winter and early spring for this unique take on a book club. Bring a book and a snack, receive updates on library happenings, and enjoy 30 to 40 minutes of quiet reading time. Check the events calendar for the next date and time.
Craft Nights
These early evening creative gatherings are popular programs at the library. Craft Nights, open to teens and adults, feature a guided do-it-yourself craft such as stone or canvas painting and seasonally themed décor. Registration is required. Visit our events calendar for upcoming Craft Nights.
These events are sponsored by the Friends of the Shelby Area District Library.
Author Talks
Occasionally, the Friends of the Shelby Area District Library sponsor an author talk featuring writers with local connections. Watch for upcoming author talks on our Facebook page and events calendar.
Michigan Activity Pass (MAP)
Explore participating cultural destinations, parks, campgrounds, and recreation areas throughout the state at a discounted rate with your library card.
