Across the country, libraries and schools come together to encourage children’s literacy during the month of March.
Kicking off with Dr Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd, children (and readers of all ages) are encouraged to read daily throughout the month to foster a lifelong love of books.
What better place to celebrate March is Reading Month than at your local library? Stop in anytime to pick up some new books, or join us for one of our fun March events.
Prefer to access your reading material at home? No problem! We are happy to offer our library cardholders free access to the Libby reading app for ebooks, audiobooks, and more, as well as the hoopla digital streaming app for digital books music, movies and TV shows, and more. Learn more about ways to access books and other media as a Shelby Area District Library patron.
Happy Reading!
