September is Library Card Sign Up Month!
September is Library Card Sign Up Month and we have a fun month planned. A big thank you to the Friends of the Shelby Library for funding all our events this month!
Library Card Sign Up Month Events:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: Youth ages 5+ are encouraged to get a library card (parent must sign application card) and then make a personalized cardholder for it! This fun drop-in style DIY event runs from 10:00-11:00am & 3:00-4:00pm.
- Thursday, September 18: Bookish Bags for teens & adults at 5pm. A book-themed iron-on transfer will transform a plain canvas tote into the perfect library bag. Registration required as space is limited. Call or email the library to reserve your seat: (231) 861-4565, [email protected]
- Friday, September 19: Library Card Sign-Up Celebration (all day). Giveaways, food, and fun!
- Wednesday, September 24: Wooden Bookmarks for ages 9+ at 3:30pm. Use mod-podge and decorative paper to decorate a wooden bookmark base and finish with a tassel. Drop-in style while supplies last.
