The 2025 Collaborative Summer Library Program theme is “Color Our World” and we have a summer of fun planned from June 23 to July 25. We offer reading programs for all ages with weekly prize drawings. Registration is the week of June 23. All are invited to our Summer Open House scheduled for Monday, June 23 from 6-8pm where you will learn about library services, enjoy refreshments, meet the library staff, Board Trustees, and Friends of the Library, play games on the library lawn, and register for the summer reading program!
Thanks to a generous donation from the Shelby Optimist Club, we will offer weekly activities and special programming for youth. Thanks to a grant from the Mid-Michigan Library League we will offer multiple Free Book Friday opportunities where children and teens can select a book to keep. A full schedule of events will be included in registration materials, posted on Facebook, and available on our events calendar.
Wednesdays are for teens & adults with weekly craft projects from 5-7pm. Registration (begins June 23) will be required as space is limited. We will welcome Raymond Goodwin and his one-man play “Richard Descending” on Wednesday, June 25 at 5:30pm. This is an event tailored to adults.
