OCEANA ON THE SAME PAGE

The Libraries of Oceana County have chosen The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt (professor at Calvin College) for the 2008 Oceana on the Same Page book.  The book is set in suburban Long Island during the late 1960's.  The story is told through humor as every chapter is full of adventures and mishaps that happen throughout the school year.  This year there will be several book discussions on the book and at the end of the program there will be a book discussion, that the author will appear at on September 28th.

Oceana on the Same Page(OSP) is Oceana County's version of the One Book, One Community projects that are sponsored by public libraries around the country.  OSP is designed to engage the citizens of the county in a reading program that encourages the love of reading and opens up community dialogue about the books people read.
